In Sandy, they have a "healing field". The "Healing Field" is to recognize all our soldiers who have lost their lives fighting for our country, or who are out there now. They placed 1776 flags through these two huge fields. It was pretty amazing to walk through these flags. There was a sweet reverence there and it was so peaceful. We explained to Abby how the "bad guys" (aka terrorists) flew airplanes into our buildings and that's why we remember the soldiers that are fighting for our country. She was very intrigued by this story so we showed her the footage of September 11, and she still talks about it.
I am so grateful for our country and for those men and women who are willing to put their lives on the line for all of us. God bless America!
